ESPER

State of the art programmable lighting

Transform the quality and efficiency of your scanning with an Esper lighting system.

Our main lighting products, the MultiFlash and LightBar, are designed for multi-camera and multi-directional lighting setups. These lights can be programmed and precisely synchronised with any image capture system, ensuring accurate 3D reconstructions and detailed surface textures.

Esper lights offer Flicker-Free Dimming at high frame rates, maintaining flicker-free performance across the entire dimming range.

They can also synchronise with rolling shutter video cameras, simulating global shutter functionality and expanding the range of compatible camera models for 4D/volumetric and training data capture.

MultiFlash

The ESPER MultiFlash is a fully programmable spot light that allows you to control flash duration and intensity independently.

Programmable via Esper system controllers, the MultiFlash is currently available as a part of an ESPER scanning system.

Total control for maximum creativity.

Equipped with 3 independently controllable, high-powered LED light sources the ESPER MultiFlash is the only spot light unit on the market that allows you to control flash duration and intensity independently, offset accurately and precisely synchronise with your camera system.

Revolutionise your lighting set-up

Whether you require one MultiFlash or 360. Whether you need every MultiFlash to all fire at the same time with the same intensity or for each MultiFlash to do something different. The ESPER MultiFlash has been designed from the ground up to be the most flexible, high-performance flashes around.

Polarised Light Sources

The MultiFlash come with polarisation filters fitted as standard (unpolarised and RGB lenses available on request.) Polarisation allows for the accurate capture of an object’s base colour (diffuse albedo) and the separation of specular reflections. Both these data sets can then be used to generate other texture maps suitable for use in a PBR (Physically Based Rendering) workflow.

Microsecond synchronisation

Achieve microsecond synchronisation with your camera system via ESPER system controllers with contact closure and TTL inputs and outputs or sync to an incoming Genlock / Tri-sync signal. Programme, sequence and synchronise directly from your computer When coupled with a single ESPER’s system and the ESPER LightController Software 512 MultiFlashes can be programmed, sequenced and synchronised directly from a computer. The ESPER ControllerBox has contact closure inputs and outputs (for DSLR and Machine Vision), genlock input (for video cameras) there are also data outputs for programming the lights.

Flicker-Free Lighting regardless of frame rate

The MulitFlash utilises Esper’s proprietary Flicker-Free Dimming technology. Which provides flicker free operation throughout the entire dimming range regardless of the camera’s frame rate.

LightBar

The ESPER LightBar is a fully programmable lighting that allows you to control flash duration and intensity independently.

Programmable via Esper system controllers, the MultiFlash is currently available as a part of an ESPER scanning system.

Transform the quality and efficiency of your scanning with Esper lighting systems.

The LightBar has been specifically designed for use in multi camera and multi directional lighting systems utilising the same.

With the option of two beam angles (15º and 30º) the LightBar is specifically designed to provide even illumination of a subject.

The LightBar can be connected directly to a camera flash hotshoe / PC sync socket or a wired TriggerBox network via its 3.5mm socket.

The LightBar comes pre programmed with flash durations to aid quick and simple setups. Specific lighting states and sequences can also be programmed (via an Esper system controller) to produce data sets that can increase the accuracy of 3D reconstructions and capture detailed surface detail and texture information.

Polarised Light Sources

The LightBar comes with polarisation filters fitted as standard (unpolarised lenses are available on request.) Cross polarisation allows for the accurate capture of an object’s base colour (diffuse albedo) and removes surface reflections which can compromise the quality of 3D and 4D scans.

Flicker-Free Lighting regardless of frame rate

The LightBar utilises Esper’s proprietary Flicker-Free Dimming technology. Which provides flicker free operation throughout the entire dimming range regardless of the camera’s frame rate.

Total control for maximum creativity.

Equipped with 18 high-powered LED light sources the ESPER LightBar is a programmable flash unit that allows you to control flash duration and intensity independently, offset accurately and precisely synchronise with your camera system.

Revolutionise your lighting set-up

Whether you require one LightBar or many. Whether you need every LightBar to fire at the same time or for each LightBar to do something different. The ESPER LightBar has been designed specifically to be a flexible unit that can be added to systems as they scale up.

Programme, sequence and synchronise directly from your computer

When coupled with a single ESPER’s system and the ESPER LightController Software multiple LightBars can be programmed, sequenced and synchronised directly from a computer. The ESPER SyncroBox has contact closure inputs and outputs (for DSLR and Machine Vision), genlock input (for video cameras) there are also data outputs for programming the lights.
