About us
We Build Scanning Systems for Demanding Capture Work
Esper designs and builds advanced 3D and 4D scanning systems for teams that need accurate, repeatable real-world data.
Based in Nottingham, UK and supplying customers globally, we bring together camera systems, lighting, triggering, power distribution, software control and practical engineering to create capture systems that work reliably in real production and research environments.
Our work spans head and face scanning, body capture, object scanning, performance capture and custom multi-camera systems.
Practical Engineering, Built Around the Capture Problem
We are not simply a reseller of cameras or components. Esper systems are designed around the full capture workflow.
That means thinking about the subject, the data required, the lighting conditions, the camera positions, the timing, the operator experience, the studio environment and the client’s downstream pipeline.
Some projects need a compact scanning setup. Others need a large geodesic dome, specialist lighting, synchronised camera arrays, 4D capture, AI dataset production or a completely custom system.
Our role is to understand the capture problem and engineer the right system around it.
Designed, Built and Supported In-House
Esper combines design, electronics, mechanical assembly, software configuration and system integration from our Nottingham offices and production facility.
Having these capabilities in-house allows us to prototype quickly, refine designs, test ideas and solve practical problems without relying on off-the-shelf assumptions.
We build systems for people who need dependable capture tools, not just impressive specifications.
What We Care About
Data Quality
Repeatability
Practical Operation
Custom Engineering

Designed to fit your requirements
Each project is built around the subject, the environment, and the workflow. That can mean a permanent installation, a modular system, a portable setup, or a fully custom solution.
Control Where It Matters
Our software checks capture quality during acquisition and can generate the outputs needed for downstream workflows, reducing manual processing.
